We are a team of New Londoners who love new London and love the water. We believe that one of the best ways we can give back to our community is to help protect one of its best natural resources, and give the residents the opportunity to appreciate it even more - by being able to swim.

When our team was thinking about ways to help the city of New London, the beaches and water kept coming into our conversations. Being a coastal city is a part of New London's DNA. We began researching ways to showcase New London's great beaches and help the city prosper for years to come. In our research, we were alarmed to find out that only 10% of New London youth know how to swim.

We created a water race to raise money to teach New London kids and adults how to swim. Our goal is to raise enough money over the lifetime of the New London Cup to teach every New London resident who wants to learn how to swim and help educate residents on the need to protect our ocean and beaches.
